Eric Tamarkin

Eric Tamarkin is Director & Senior Public Policy Counsel for Samsung Electronics America, a US subsidiary of Samsung Electronics of South Korea. Based in Washington, DC, he leads Samsung’s US cybersecurity and supply chain security public policy formulation and engagement with government and industry. Eric is an attorney with over two decades of experience in all three branches of the US government. He served in leadership roles at the Department of Homeland Security, where he led DHS’s interactions with Congress on cybersecurity. He was Senior Counsel to the Senate Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee, Counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, and clerked for two judges. He received a BA from the University of Michigan and a JD from Boston College Law School.
