CSfC at the Tactical Edge (S13b)
The Fleet Marine Forces (FMF) have been leveraging a Campus WLAN solution for almost three years now in both exercises and real-world operations. This talk will summarize lessons learned, the way-ahead, and issues and recommendations to improve both the process and solutions. The speaker will be executing Nordic Response 2024 prior to this talk, and the after-actions and lessons learned will also be briefed, specifically how CSfC supports CJADC2 with allies and partners. There are interoperability issues with NATO partners due to the type-1 encryption requirements and CSfC directly negates those issues. The talk will also include why the tactical CSfC solution doesn’t support tactical edge requirements due to the limitations. Additionally, the speaker has submitted to incorporate the multi-site capability to address shortfalls in operating in hardened structures in foreign countries.
