Biography

Westley McDuffie is a seasoned Security Evangelist with IBM, having joined the company in March 2007 to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence community clients. With over three decades of experience spanning military-oriented analysis, network infrastructure, and information security, Westley is dedicated to empowering federal customers with the knowledge to build secure infrastructures and achieve true security intelligence.

Prior to IBM, Westley was part of Internet Security Systems (ISS), where he played a crucial role in its elite X-Force research and development team—one of the industry’s most respected global threat monitoring groups. Even today, he remains engaged in the security research community and is recognized as a DEF CON GOON “Legend”.

With 15 years of classroom-led instruction under his belt, Westley is deeply committed to educating organizations on evolving cyber threats, attack vectors, and best practices. His expertise has earned him numerous accolades in the cybersecurity field, reinforcing his reputation as a trusted advisor in security intelligence.
