Russell Glenn

Russell Glenn is a Chief Solutions Architect for Mission Connections and Cybersecurity at Viasat, Inc. Viasat provides secure network access and operations globally for consumer, enterprise, and military customers for both fixed and mobile applications.

Mr. Glenn has 17+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, and secure mobile communications which he applies to his role in composing solutions for Viasat. Mr. Glenn has performed security assessments for the National Security Agency (NSA) and provided engineering and cyber security expertise for cryptographic modules, network encryptors, tactical radios, and unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both government and commercial solutions. He helped develop and deploy some of the first mobile commercial solutions for classified (CSfC) operations that enabled secure mobility for the DoD. He has also supported various Active Cyber Defense (ACD) initiatives to integrate and deploy advanced cyber defense solutions to combat cyber-attacks through coordinated and automated action against threats.

At Viasat Mr. Glenn applies his security, business development, and solution engineering expertise to Viasat’s security solutions portfolio for government and commercial enterprises including cyber security systems, critical infrastructure protection, wireless mobile networks, network encryption products, and data at rest security solutions.

Mr. Glenn received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland at College Park. He maintains several professional certifications including the Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
