Optimizing Compliance Management using Regulatory Libraries and Mappings: A Perspective on Data Security and Privacy Compliance (R21a)

Managing regulatory and compliance risk is a constant challenge for organizations subject to data security and privacy regulations/standards. The current pace of regulatory change is extremely high, which poses added risk, particularly for organizations operating in diverse jurisdictions. Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) is the primary vehicle for managing the risks in a volatile regulatory world. An organization with robust RCM capabilities covers regulatory/standards-based requirements, as well as contractual requirements and important best practices. The cornerstone of RCM is a content library relevant to lines of business and geographical footprint. Equally critical are Compliance Mappings, which provide organizational line of sight across regulatory/standard-based requirements. In this presentation, attendees will learn how to utilize custom content libraries and mappings to optimize RCM.
